Normal West is a better place because of Charlie Crabtree.

Charlie Crabtree was taken from us too soon in a tragic Bus Accident in December of 2018. Rest in peace, Charlie.

Charlie was a long time bus driver who constantly went above and beyond while transporting athletic teams.

When he retired, he continued to support Normal West athletics. He spent countless hours with several athletic teams, but he had a special bond with girls basketball and softball.   He traveled with the teams, cheered for them, announced at home games, and did the game-book. He was always buying the athletes snacks and treats and even offered them to opposing players and game officials.

He was a true fan. He wanted the Wildcats to win but supported them either way. More than anything he just wanted kids to work hard and do their best.    He did all of it to helps student-athletes and to make others feel special.  Charlie was impacted an incredible amount of student-athletes, coaches, and many others through his generosity and selflessness.
